Key Responsibilities :
Oversee and coordinate patient admissions and discharges to optimize care delivery.Evaluate and enhance the quality of nursing care with the leadership team.Foster teamwork through collaboration with colleagues and experts.Champion a patient-first approach and engage in service recovery when needed.Implement and support employee engagement initiatives, ensuring a positive work culture.Assist in the hiring and training of new staff, promoting development and adherence to policies.Manage staff scheduling and align labor to patient care needs.Ensure proper inventory control and management of supplies.Qualifications :
Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a NICU as a Registered Nurse (RN).Preferred additional experience in an acute care setting.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.Current Texas RN license or Compact RN license (with Texas license obtained within 90 days of hire).Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required; S.T.A.B.L.E. certification is preferred.St. David's Medical Center is a leading healthcare facility that offers a broad range of services, including a renowned Level IV NICU, maternity, and surgical care.
