As a Security Officer - Dispatch Specialist in Niskayuna, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial setting, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, supporting a secure environment for all on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and offer exceptional customer service while communicating clearly with site personnel. What You'll Do :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming and outgoing communications related to security-related incidents and activities within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other electronic surveillance equipment to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
  • Dispatch security personnel to various areas of the location in response to incidents, emergencies, or as required by site protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all calls, incidents, and dispatches according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and site management during critical situations and / or emergencies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and professionally to all inquiries and requests from site personnel and visitors.
  • Follow established security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment throughout the location.
  • Remain calm and use problem-solving skills to respond to incidents and critical situations as they arise.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Candidates must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Candidates must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
