Senior Systems Engineer (Unisys)

About your role :

You will lead all Unisys ClearPath MCP OS, Network, and other major software release planning and implementations. You will also configure, plan and manage system hardware upgrades and act as a technical lead on larger projects.

What you'll do :

Implementing and maintaining procedures to collect performance metrics and produce system performance and capacity reports

Perform analyses (e.g., performs technical research to assess system performance and capacity)

Manage and maintain 24x7 uptime on the mainframes including client related connectivity, application and platform issues

Research products, solutions, technologies, and apply results to create presentations and documentation

Establish and implement auditing standards and present evidence to the auditors (internal and external) for CAS, PCI, FFIEC, and SOC assessments

Identify system performance bottlenecks and recommending performance improvement solutions

Colloborate with business leaders to provide support, advice, and guidance on the correct application of products and technology solutions

Apply technical expertise to support the deployment of technology architecture and the total system solution

Experience you'll need to have :

6+ years of experience on Unisys MCP systems

5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering in a Master Control Program (MCP) operating system environment, EMC disk subsystems, Work Flow Language (WFL), Communication Management System (COMS)

5+ years of experience with Windows, Data and Structure Definition Language (DASDL), and Open Distributed Transaction Processing (DTP)

3+ years of experience in solution architecture, including designing and implementing scalable

Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience

Experience that would be great to have :

COBOL experience

Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions

How you'll work :

This role requires being on-call during non-standard and / or overnight hours on a rotational basis

This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment

Salary Range

$110,000.00 - $186,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
