Requirements :

  • Be 18 years or older

    • Description

  • Feeding and watering : Providing fresh food and water for the pet
  • Exercise and playtime : Providing exercise and playtime for the pet
  • Cleaning : Cleaning litter boxes and trays, and disposing of waste
  • Medication : Administering medication as needed
  • Health care : Taking the pet to the vet if they become unwell, and monitoring their health for changes
  • Companionship : Providing companionship and affection for the pet
  • Housekeeping : Performing basic housekeeping duties as needed
  • Updates : Providing updates to the owner on the pet's progress
  • Photos : Sending photos to the owner to assure them that all is well

    • Qualities sought in pet sitters include :

  • Being able to handle multiple dogs at once
  • Being able to identify signs of stress, pain, fear, and aggression
  • Being trustworthy, reliable, and dependable
  • Having strong customer service skills
  • Having excellent communication skills and flexibility
  • Being able to work on their feet for long periods of time
  • Having a passion for animals (dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, etc)
