Overview Job Summary Responsible for planning, directing, and supervising all technical and administrative aspects of one or more assigned imaging departments (defined as Diagnostic Radiology, CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and/or Dexa). Develops and reviews department protocols, policies and procedures; Assists providers and staff of department(s) to coordinate and implement administrative activities to ensure business, quality, and patient satisfaction goals are met.
Job Responsibilities - Manages individual(s), including but not limited to hires, trains, assigns work, manages, evaluates performance, and conducts professional development plans.
- Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals and strategic initiatives of the department as established by the department and hospital leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Monitors actual performance against established capital and operational budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve budget goals.
- Understands and educates providers and staff on appropriate billing practices; Manages changes and updates to billing and coding practices with assistance of department director.
- Directs, provides, and ensures the delivery of outcome-oriented patient care in a safe, clean environment following all external regulations and internal quality standards. Evaluates the care and testing delivered and intervenes appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes and experience.
- Manages all material resources that support the clinical activities throughout the assigned department(s).
- Ensures team compliance with departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards; Keeps policies and procedures up-to-date and participates in revisions, as needed.
- Promotes, and is accountable for, customer satisfaction, process indicators, quality improvement plans, and outcomes in the department(s).
- Leverages radiologist expertise to achieve objectives impacting clinical care, quality and financial goals through appropriate utilization and technical expertise.
- Promotes and represents the department(s) positively, in collaboration with the hospital, marketing team, and providers.
- Supports and develops successful relationships with other units/departments, providers, and referral sources; Works collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders.
- Assists in developing strategic initiatives for the department. Evaluates the type and amount of services needed to meet the needs of the institution and community.
- Initiates, manages, and executes projects and program initiatives utilizing quality data and performance improvement techniques. Demonstrates ability to develop business plans and feasibility studies related to new program development.

Minimum Qualifications - Degree: Associate Degree
- Experience: 2-5 Years
- Supervisor Experience: < 2 Years
- Licenses & Certification: None required
Preferred Qualifications - Degree: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 5-10 Years
- Supervisor Experience: 2-5 years
- Licenses & Certification: R.T.(R)/CNMT/RDMS
