Shift Details :

4-week program. First 2 weeks for classroom will be Monday - Friday, 8am - 4 : 30pm. Last 2 weeks for clinical will be Monday - Friday, 6am - 2 : 30pm. Perfect attendance is required for successful completion of the class. After successful completion of program, Apprentice will be eligible for Phlebotomy Services Specialist role with the hours of 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm or 2 : 00pm - 10 : 30pm.

Job Summary :

The phlebotomy apprentice will develop competency in and demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of a phlebotomist. The training will include learning about laboratory equipment, proper handling methods of blood and urine specimens, anatomy and physiology, and blood-drawing techniques utilizing needles and other collection methods.

EDUCATION :

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS :

Familiarity with computers.
