Covent Home Health is looking for a Home Health Director . We are passionate about providing services to help ensure a successful transition home from a hospital stay or assist when there is a change in medical condition. As our Home Health Director, you will be responsible for the direction, coordination, and general supervision of all home health services. You will work closely with the Executive Director to create a cutting-edge and strategic agency with the goal of achieving your budgeted targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the HH agency including planning, organizing, and evaluating operations.
- Ensure organization compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintaining ongoing liaison with Governing Body and implementing Governing Body directives.
- Recruiting, employing, and retaining qualified personnel.
- Supervise the department staff, providing guidance, training, staff development and feedback to the home health team.
- Responsible for the marketing efforts to ensure the campus is marketed in a positive manner in the community, on the web, and in advertising materials.
- Ideate ways to increase visits and achieve targeted goals.
- Present, promote and sell to prospective communities the importance of home health services and partnership with Senior Care in Motion (SCiM).
- Perform cost benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential residents to meet their needs.
- Develop, and maintain positive business and resident relationships.
- Collaborate with leadership of communities utilizing agency services.
- Monitor benchmarks and implement budget disbursements according to expenditure procedures and budget guidelines.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm attitude when visiting with staff, residents, and visitors.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to ensure resident rights are protected.
- Ensuring standards of ethical business and clinical practice are maintained.
- Other related duties may become necessary or as directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, a minimum of 3 years of experience as Home Health Director is required.
- Experience in multi-family or senior retirement settings preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers including residents, visitors, staff, vendors, and the public.
- Must have strong knowledge of state regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and other applicable regulations.
- Possess knowledge of competitive markets and demographics in surrounding areas.
- Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
- Superior leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be knowledgeable of computers and knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and TEAMS.
- Wellsky experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable with home health benchmark and best practices.
