Security Officer - Highrise Access Control

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the property. You will provide a visible presence to support a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within commercial real estate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for commercial real estate environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification, and manage entry of authorized individuals to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual occurrences, or maintenance concerns observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with property management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs specific to commercial real estate properties.
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of access control policies and procedures tailored to commercial real estate locations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
