ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - Med Surg

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission form)
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed by facility
  • No call requirements
  • May float to other units depending on staffing needs
  • Current RN license required (must meet Missouri licensure criteria or currently licensed in Missouri)
  • Required certification : BLS from AHA only
  • Preferred certification : ACLS from AHA only
  • Minimum 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required
  • Patient ratios : 1 : 5-6 on days, 1 : 6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
  • Work with Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machines
  • Electronic Medical Record system : EPIC
  • Dress code : Black scrubs required, no open-toed shoes
  • Flu vaccination required from November 1-April 1 (exemptions reviewed, declinations not accepted)
  • Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation
  • Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Care for Med / Surg patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
  • Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments and maintain patient confidentiality

    This healthcare facility has been serving the South St. Louis County area for over 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care. The facility features all-private rooms and offers nationally recognized care including designation as a Level 2 Trauma Center and Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospital maintains a Level 1 STEMI Center and holds Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Certification in Heart Failure, along with American Heart Association recognition for heart failure care quality. The Med Surg East unit currently operates 15 beds with an additional 15 beds under construction.
