About the Opportunity :
James Search Group is working with a leading global property & casualty (P&C) insurance carrier to recruit a Senior Underwriter specializing in Primary Construction Lines . This is an on-site position based in Atlanta from either their Buckhead or Alpharetta offices , offering the chance to underwrite complex construction accounts, collaborate with top-tier brokers, and contribute directly to a profitable, growing portfolio.
The company is known for its financial stability, underwriting excellence, and strong broker relationshipsmaking this an exceptional environment for an experienced underwriter to further their career within a highly regarded construction-focused team.
Compensation :
Base salary range : $120,000 $160,000 (commensurate with experience), plus annual bonus potential and a full suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) with match.
Key Responsibilities :
- Underwrite and price new and renewal Primary Construction business, including general liability and related coverages.
- Evaluate risk quality through detailed exposure analysis and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
- Manage and expand a profitable book of construction business while maintaining underwriting discipline.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with brokers and agents to drive submission flow and market presence.
- Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and risk engineering teams to craft customized insurance solutions.
- Represent the company at industry and client events, promoting its construction expertise and capabilities.
