Security Guard - Flex Healthcare Facility

As a Security Guard - Flex Healthcare Facility in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain high visibility throughout the facility, and provide exceptional customer service through clear and compassionate communication. DayTimeSat 01 : 45 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support the security-related needs of the location.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter potential disruptions within the healthcare setting.
  • Assist employees, patients, and visitors by providing directions or information, and support a welcoming environment consistent with healthcare facility standards.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for reporting, documentation, and communication.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must provide proof of vaccination as required for hospital settings.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
