[job_card.job_description]Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or a related engineering field. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor CATIA) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding sheet metal fabrication) and their impact on design. Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Knowledge of material properties selection and their application in product design. Proven ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative design solutions. Hands-on experience with prototyping fabrication or workshop tools. Proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g. FEA CFD). Experience with scripting or automation for design tasks (e.g. Python VBA). Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine product designs using CAD software and engineering principles.
- Create detailed engineering drawings specifications and Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize product performance cost and manufacturability.
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
- Conduct design reviews analyses and testing of prototypes to validate design concepts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing quality and supply chain to integrate design requirements.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement corrective actions throughout the product lifecycle.
