Serve as a senior developer on cross-functional application projects. Design and implement scalable, high-performance applications that align with FDOT’s technology strategy. Ensure code quality, efficiency, and maintainability through unit testing and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions . Provide guidance on application architecture, modernization, and integration . Onsite in Tallahassee, FL (Monday - Friday). Flexible working hours between 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM . Residency Requirement : Must live in or be willing to relocate to Tallahassee, FL . This is an onsite role with no long-term remote work option. Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience . Experience : 5+ years as a lead developer . 8+ years of broad experience with development technologies, including : Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET / MVC, WCF / WebAPI SQL Server, REST, XML, JSON JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Durandal, Knockout, etc.) Python, GIS Frameworks, and CSS Experience in full lifecycle application development , including architecture, coding, testing, and deployment. Strong skills in legacy application modernization and migration to service-oriented architectures .

Job Overview
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking an Applications Development Analyst C - Advanced to join its team in Tallahassee, FL. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining custom software applications while working in a collaborative, Agile environment.
Mandatory Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria :
- Residency Requirement : Must live in or be willing to relocate to Tallahassee, FL . This is an onsite role with no long-term remote work option.
- Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience .
- Experience :
- 5+ years as a lead developer .
- 8+ years of broad experience with development technologies, including :
- Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET / MVC, WCF / WebAPI
- SQL Server, REST, XML, JSON
- JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Durandal, Knockout, etc.)
- Python, GIS Frameworks, and CSS
- Experience in full lifecycle application development , including architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Strong skills in legacy application modernization and migration to service-oriented architectures .
