Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time opportunity is available for two Middle School Special Education Teachers to support students in a contract position within a middle school setting. This role is ideal for educators who hold valid Connecticut Special Education licensure and are passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments for middle school students.

Position Details :

  • Location : New Milford, CT
  • Job Duration : Current School Year (CSY) Contract
  • Schedule : Full time, 35 hours per week
  • Role : Middle School Special Education Teacher (2 openings)
  • Setting : Special Education Classrooms focused on middle school students

Qualifications :

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education licensure required
  • Experience teaching middle school students with varying special education needs
  • Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student success
  • Effective munication and organizational skills

    • Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement specialized instructional plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
  • Maintain thorough documentation and records in pliance with state and federal regulations
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning
