Radiology Technician

As a Radiology Technician, you will play a vital role in providing excellent clinical and administrative support in line with MedStar Health policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include patient intake, venipuncture, laboratory testing, and ensuring proper follow-up care under the supervision of a physician. This role will also involve administering medications as directed and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to MedStar Health's Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant governmental and accreditation guidelines, including training on safety, infection control, and CPR.
• Maintain patient care standards while ensuring a safe and clean environment by managing equipment, sterilization, and room preparation.
• Utilize modern technology including electronic health records to enhance patient flow and communication.
• Conduct essential patient care activities such as spirometry, EKGs, and administering medications under the supervision of medical providers.
• Perform x-rays per medical orders and liaise with radiologists for image reviews while maintaining equipment and safety standards.
• Foster a respectful atmosphere with patients, families, and colleagues, communicating professionally at all times.
• Enhance patient trust through excellent service that exceeds expectations, assisting with discharge processes.
• Support team members during busy periods and manage basic front desk tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• Two years of medical office experience preferred.
• ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technology).
• Valid Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $29.73 - $53.49.
