Summary / objective
Orchard Hospital is seeking a licensed behavioral health therapist professional who works in collaboration with providers and other healthcare team members to provide medically related social and behavioral health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This individual conducts social and behavioral health assessments and services in order for patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. This individual works interdependently with medical providers to provide quality healthcare to our patients.

- Gather data of patient history through personal intake interviews
- Performs casework services with patients and relatives through individual assessments and treatment sessions
- Provides ongoing assessment, treatment planning and treatment of all patients assigned, under the supervision of a medical provider and licensed clinician
- Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings to review patient treatment, concerns, progress and recommendations
- Supports and enhances the patient’s emotional stability and clearly explains the nature of the diagnosis and plan of care
- Maintains cooperative professional relationships with community agencies to ensure continuum of care
- Meets documentation requirements for billing and coding
Required education and experience
Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage Family Therapy or CounselingMust possess current licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of CaliforniaMaintain a valid and current license with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in the State of CaliforniaCurrent health provider BLS cardSupervisory responsibilities
May oversee students and interns.
