Summary
The VPC Team Lead supplies the vehicle processing facility with a continuous flow of vehicles, inspects them to quality standards, and processes vehicles for transport. The position also properly completes necessary documentation and uses computer terminals and handheld computerized scanning equipment when required.
Responsibilities
- Inspect interior / exterior of vehicles to confirm proper operation
Thoroughly inspect interior and exterior of vehicles as they exit the plant
Monitor vehicle condition and record all malfunctioning or damaged items on work orders or survey documentsUtilize a workstation computer to input and review all necessary vehicle processing informationKeep accurate accounts of all vehicles and parts as they are processed and receivedWork with appropriate tools on or around the vehiclesRead, understand, and follow workstation work instructions to perform required tasksMust adhere to customer's quality standardsDrive vehicles to and from building or lots and in / out of car washRemoval of transportation hook from vehicles' bumpersRefueling vehicles according to customers requirementsAdd minor accessories and booklets / stickers / labels according to customers requirementsMust be able to pass background check and TWIG card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)Safely and efficiently operate processed vehiclesDrive vehicles to their appropriate stations, following a set schedule or route
Place vehicles on / off a 2-post lifting device as neededFollow speed limit restrictions and drive in accordance with the Transportation & Handling ManualAdhere to all company and safety policies and proceduresDrivers must have the stamina to sit, stand, or walk or several hours at a time, as well as excellent hand-eye coordination to operate vehicles while watching their surroundings to maximize safetyAccurately complete driver check list for each vehicle with all required informationCustomer serviceCommunicate by telephone, two-way radio, and in-person in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner with all customers, guests, team members, etc
