Cloud Operations Engineer - Work from home

• Cloud Infrastructure Management :
• Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure on platforms such as GCP, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.

• Deployment and Automation :
• Develop, implement, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment processes, configuration management, and application scaling.

3.

• Monitoring and Optimization :
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security threats, and infrastructure issues. Continuously optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency.

4.

• Security and Compliance :
• Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance standards relevant to the financial industry.

5.

• Incident Response :
• Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery.

6.

• Documentation :
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices for the team's reference.

7.

• Collaboration :
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and architects, to ensure the seamless operation of applications in the cloud environment.

• Capacity Planning :
• Monitor resource utilization and plan for capacity expansion or reduction based on the changing needs of the applications.
• Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Operations Engineer or similar role in a cloud-native environment.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of network architecture and security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
