This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, G. Werber Bryan Psychiatric Hospital, 220 Faison Drive, Columbia SC 29203.
As the Fiscal Technician I, working under limited supervision, you will maintain a daily accounting of resident's personal funds and facility petty cash through the completion of required accounting procedures and internal agency requirements. You will perform a full range of accounting duties, involving posting and updating of records for the Inpatient Services Cashier / Postal Office using an automated system (Avatar / MyUnity).

Job duties involve in-depth knowledge of how SCOMH accounting system functions. This work involves payment of numerous invoices, requires use of computer, copy machine, fax, and 10-key calculator, and Microsoft Office suite. Position requires some lifting in the performance of specified duties. The cashier's office should be kept secured and audit ready.
