Search Solution Group is seeking a Finance Specialist on behalf of our client, a company dedicated to helping small and mid-sized businesses offer high-quality retirement plans to their employees. The Finance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial operations, including commissions, billing, accounts payable / receivable, and reporting. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for process improvement to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and complete assigned financial operational tasks, including AP, AR, billing, and commissions.
- Support monthly recordkeeping and reconciliation processes.
- Assist with billing and invoicing, including preparation of accurate invoices and maintaining updated customer billing records.
- Manage commissions processes, including calculation, statement creation, and distribution.
- Handle sensitive and confidential financial documents with integrity and discretion.
- Identify and escalate complex or unresolved financial issues to leadership or the appropriate teams.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and departmental procedures.
- Contribute to financial projects and process improvements to support business growth.
- Provide administrative support for the finance team, including responding to queries and maintaining records.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and reporting as directed by leadership.
Requirements include :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience :
1-3 years of relevant finance experience (e.g., AP, AR, billing, commissions, or related financial operations).Experience in billing or commissions processes is a plus.Skills :
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP preferred.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Certifications :
None required; accounting or finance certifications a plus.Knowledge :
Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial operations.Knowledge of billing, invoicing, and commission processes is advantageous.Key Competencies :
