We are seeking an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the Accounting operations of Henkels & McCoy, a MasTec company. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, SOX Compliance as well as project cost tracking and job profitability. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with GAAP and supporting strategic business decisions by working with cross functional departments. This role will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will play a crucial role in helping drive process improvements and efficiencies across the organization's accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and oversee the accounting team, including, but not limited to, G / L Accounting, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets and Consolidation.
• Be a key resource for Accounts Payable, Billing, AP and SOX compliance.
• Document and maintain business processes and accounting policies and procedures to strengthen and maintain an effective internal control environment and integrity of the books and records
• Play a key role in helping reduce the time commitment and oversee the financial accounting close process, including revenue, cost of revenue, operating expenses and balance sheet accounts, in an accurate manner
• Oversee reconciliation and review of financial accounts, ensuring timely completion and close out of reconciling items
• Assist in managing audits (internal and external) inquiries and relationships, and ensure timely and adequate responses are provided
• Maintain compliance with government and organizational reporting requirements
• Partner closely with FP&A to support data needs and analysis, including executive level reporting for performance monitoring
• Provide consistent and reliable data for ongoing forecasting and planning, including P&L and cash flow
• Perform ad hoc analysis to understand variances in financial and operational drivers
• Identify financial and operational opportunities and work across functions to drive improvement
• Help drive business transformation efforts in conjunction with strategic priorities - ERP implementation, acquisition integration, restructuring
• Build / maintain relationships with Segment / Corporate teams, internal and external auditors, key financial vendors, and customers
• Actively manage, mentor and coach team members; inspire and encourage continued growth and development
