EMIT Learning is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department you will be responsible for maintaining a safe clean and functional environment that supports the success and well-being of our students and staff. Total Hours Per Week : 3540 hours per week

  • Duration of Contract : New School Year 202526

    • Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings classrooms and equipment
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and special activities
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Perform basic carpentry painting and general building upkeep as needed
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • Collaborate with administrative and custodial staff to ensure facilities are well maintained
  • Report and document maintenance activities repairs and safety concerns

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred
  • Previous experience in building maintenance facilities management or a related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical plumbing carpentry and HVAC systems
  • Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable detail-oriented and able to follow safety protocols at all times
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
