Emergency Medical Technician

Emergency Medical Technician at the Basic level. Job expectations: Provide on scene patient care Manage airways Conduct spinal immobilzaion Perform bandaging, splinting Administer all advances skills - cardiac, respiratory, and blood sugar Administer 02 therapy Provide patient transportation Complete all paperwork General Housekeeping of the station, snow shoveling if needed, washing ambulance, etc. Company Arena EMS provides EMS services to the residents of the VIllage and Township of Arena, WI. We are a small rural community and have approximately 200 ambulance calls yearly. We provide a range of programs to protect our residents and to those passing through or within our mutual aid area, from the adverse effects of medical emergencies. Benefits and Hours Fulltime EMT position is 36 hours weekly. Part Time EMT - 12 hour shifts Daytime shifts from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. weekdays with a rotating weekend schedule. Shifts are flexible Employees may hold an additional job that can be completed remotely Vacation - 60 hours per year after 1 year of service Personal Time - 36 hours per year after 90 days of service Participation in Wisconsin Retirement System begins on day 1.
