SCA - General Construction Technician

Job Summary : The scope of services for Field Installation Technician includes general labor and facilities support and will be performed on-site at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The ideal candidate shall perform work during standard PHNSY&IMF working hours (0630 - 1500) unless specifically requested and agreed upon 5 days in advance, at a minimum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance :

• Facilities preventative maintenance, repair, renovation, removal, and disposal
• Tools, inventory management & job tracking
• Waterfront cleanup & disposal of material
• Furniture planning, repair, installation, relocation, removal, & disposal
• Installation of Information Technology (IT) services including CAT-5 / CAT-6 cable & IT cabinets
• Hurricane and inclement weather preparation and facilities tie-downs
• Vegetation control & removal
• Minor facilities maintenance work including carpentry, painting, roofing, and welding.

Education / Experience / Certifications :

Physical Requirements : Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 40 lbs.

Posted Salary Range : USD $32.00 - USD $38.00 / Hr.
