Aerodyn Engineering is hiring a skilled

EDM Machinist

to support our growing aerospace and high-performance machining operations in

Indianapolis, IN . In this hands-on role, you'll work with exotic materials and complex components using

Mitsubishi EDM machines

in a clean, climate-controlled facility. Whether you're looking for 1st shift, 2nd shift, or an alternative flexible schedule — we have options to fit your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate

Wire EDM machining centers

(Mitsubishi controls)

Read and interpret

mechanical blueprints, GD&T , and customer specifications

Machine high-performance alloys such as

Inconel, Hastelloy, 17-4 stainless , and others

Use

precision measurement tools

(calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to inspect parts

Maintain

tight tolerances

(down to 0.0001") on complex components

Collaborate with engineers and CNC programmers to meet customer deadlines

Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace

Qualifications

3–5 years of

EDM machining experience , preferably in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing

Experience with

Mitsubishi EDM

equipment preferred

Strong knowledge of

G-code / M-code ; Mastercam experience is a plus

Ability to work independently and troubleshoot during setup and operation

Comfortable working with

stainless and heat-resistant alloys

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Willingness to work

1st or 2nd shift
