Intern, Financial Controls
The Financial Controls Summer Intern will support the Financial Controls and Internal Audit teams in evaluating, enhancing, and monitoring the company's internal control environment. This internship offers hands-on experience in SOX compliance, risk assessment, and control testing activities within the insurance industry.
This position will report directly to the Senior Financial Controls Advisor and collaborate with members of the Financial Controls, Internal Audit, and other cross-functional teams throughout F&G. This position provides exposure to all levels of management across the organization.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) within major
Preferred : Junior or senior standing (or graduate student)
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Interest in pursuing a career in financial services, audit, or compliance (preferred)
