Plant Operations Director / Safety Officer

Intermountain Hospital is looking for a dynamic Plant Operations Director / Safety Officer. This position will be responsible for management of the environment of care for the hospital, specifically safety, life safety, emergency preparedness, hazardous materials, medical equipment, security, utilities and therapeutic environment. This position is responsible for preparedness of all compliance documentation reports related to environment of care. The Director is responsible for managing and organizing the operations of the facility including housekeeping, maintenance and grounds keeping while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, standards of government and regulatory agencies. This position also serves as the facility's Safety / Security Officer and serves on the Safety / Risk Management Committee. Assist in preparation of capital expenditures requests and capital budget. Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in facility or project management or related field preferred. Combined technical or trade school diploma and related experience will substitute.

Experience : A minimum of six (6) years related experience with at least three (3) years of management experience. Must have experience with reading blueprints and understand Life Safety Code and OSHA Regulations. Must have at least two (2) years proven experience with managing extensive facility improvement projects. Must be knowledgeable of the physical plant.

License : Must have a valid driver's license.
