Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a diverse adult patient population
  • No burn, pediatric, transplant, or ECMO cases
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 2
  • Day shifts (3x12 hours, 6 : 45 to 19 : 15), with 36 or 48 hours per week options
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated
  • Floating to other units required
  • Weekend shifts required every third weekend during a six-week schedule
  • EPIC charting system used; experience preferred
  • Responsibilities include caring for critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
  • Orientation modules are completed online via MyPath and are incorporated into onboarding
  • Scrubs can be any color and any brand
  • Maximum of two time-off requests allowed per contract
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower rate

    • Requirements

  • Active MO or compact state RN license in hand before start date
  • Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience required
  • Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC
  • Travel or contract nursing experience preferred
  • No first-time travelers considered
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Return staff eligible only if gone from system for at least one year
  • Must provide two professional references
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
