Full-Charge Bookkeeper - Madison, WI

A growing and well-respected company in the Madison area is seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work and contributing to a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and file sales and use tax reports.
  • Manage accounts payable , including invoice processing and vendor communication.
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
  • Create and post journal entries for monthly and year-end close.
  • Assist with miscellaneous HR tasks , such as onboarding paperwork and employee file maintenance.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience in full-charge bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of sales and use tax filing requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
