Telemetry Center RN Coordinator

Shift : 7p-7a, 24 hours per week; requires every third weekend and every other holiday.

Position Summary : As a Registered Nurse in the Centralized Monitoring Unit (CMU), you will play an essential role in monitoring the cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status of nearly 300 patients. This non-direct care position is perfect for skilled RNs with telemetry experience who thrive in a quick-paced and technologically advanced setting. In this role, you will provide clinical support to a team of Central Monitor Technicians (CMTs), ensure protocol adherence, and maintain effective communication with inpatient care teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and support daily operations of Central Monitor Technicians to guarantee accurate telemetry monitoring.
• Act as a clinical resource for rhythm interpretation and telemetry best practices.
• Collaborate with the CMU Nurse Educator to provide training and reinforce departmental policies.
• Facilitate smooth shift transitions to ensure continuity of patient monitoring.
• Participate in daily team huddles and contribute actively to unit initiatives.
• Serve as a communication bridge between CMU and inpatient staff to ensure timely updates.
• Assist in staffing assignments and make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives related to telemetry workflows.
• Provide coaching and guidance to staff, fostering a supportive team environment.
