Clinical Laboratory Manager

Vancouver Clinic is seeking a dynamic and visionary Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory operations with a focus on servant leadership innovation and operational excellence. Reporting to the Laboratory and Pathology Administrative Director this role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely patient results integrating cutting-edge technologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion a department culture aligned with Vancouver Clinics mission and values through inspirational leadership.
• Oversee all clinical laboratory operations across core and stat labs within the Vancouver Clinic system.
• Drive strategic initiatives including new test development service expansion and resource optimization.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders regarding laboratory services.
• Continuously improve lab processes to enhance safety efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain up-to-date procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate in budget planning and monitor financial performance to meet operational targets.
• Hire coach and develop high-performing teams including supervisory staff.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all organizational directives.
• Lead customer service excellence initiatives that reflect the clinics commitment to quality care.
• Apply Lean and Value Improvement Practice tools to identify and implement process enhancements.
• Analyze operational data to assess progress and inform strategic decisions.
• Support staff equitably and compassionately contributing to performance evaluations and quality assurance planning.

Qualifications

Pay Range :

$96196.00 - $144295.00

Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE / hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
