About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Job.com to find a qualified House Supervisor RN in Montour Falls, New York, 14865!

Supervise and coordinate patient care activities across the Emergency Department and Med / Surg units during assigned shifts.

Serve as the on-site administrative and clinical leader during night hours.

Provide hands-on nursing care as needed, including triage, assessment, and stabilization of patients ranging from infants to the elderly.

Demonstrate competency in Stroke identification and management, STEMI identification and management, and emergency triage protocols.

Ensure effective communication between the Emergency Department, inpatient units, physicians, and ancillary staff.

Oversee hospital operations during off-hours and respond to emergencies, staff needs, and patient concerns.

Maintain adherence to all regulatory, infection control, and safety policies.

Mentor and support nursing staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.

Collaborate with other clinical leaders to ensure quality metrics and patient satisfaction standards are met.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in emergency, critical care, or acute hospital settings.

Prior experience as a charge nurse, clinical leader, or house supervisor strongly preferred.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).

Current RN license in the state of New York (or compact eligible).

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required.

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred.

NIHSS Certification – Preferred.

Proficiency in triage and emergency management for all age groups.

Strong critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Knowledge of Epic EMR and standard hospital documentation systems preferred.

Capable of supporting Med / Surg units in a supervisory capacity as needed.
