Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage at a hospital in Van Nuys, California.

Position Details :

Job Title : Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner Locum

Location : Van Nuys, California

Reason for Coverage : Leave of Absence (LOA)

Practice Setting : Inpatient

Call Schedule : None

Call Ratio : None

Documentation System : EPIC EMR

Trauma Level : Not applicable

Supervision : APP will work autonomously without supervising physician onsite

Patient Age Demographic : Adult

Procedures :

  • Removal of lines, drains, sutures, and staples
  • Dressing changes

Facility Details :

  • Facility Location : Van Nuys
  • Setting : Inpatient
  • Duties : Orders, post-operative management
  • Days per Month : 5 days / week
  • Required Procedures : None
  • EMR : Cerner
  • Support Staff : Secretary and peer NP

    • Requirements :

  • Active California NP license (mandatory; submissions without license will not be accepted)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Provider must be local; only mileage reimbursement provided
  • Clean background highly preferred
  • Surgical NP experience preferred
