Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,272 per week in Kalamazoo, MI

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Stepdown Intermediate Care Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Experience : Minimum 2 years in Stepdown or ICU department License : Valid state license required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have : First-time travelers accepted Charting System experience required Description : Position in Stepdown Intermediate Care. Schedule is nights with 3 shifts of 12 hours each. Call requirements are applicable. Every other weekend work is required. Holidays must be covered as needed. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week. Charting system utilized is Cerner. Patient ratio on unit is 1 : 4. Types of patients include adults and geriatrics. Daily census averages around 18 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Transportation. Common patient diagnoses involve Pneumonia, Sepsis, Congestive Heart Failure, and post-surgical care. Special procedures and equipment may be utilized during patient care. Compliance with all certification requirements is expected prior to starting. Background checks will be conducted prior to employment. Professional conduct is essential; any unprofessional behavior may lead to immediate termination.
