Hr Generalist Position
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Hopkins, Minnesota. In this role, you will handle a variety of human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll management, and compliance. Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and oversee recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions, including part-time, permanent, and contract roles across multiple locations.
- Facilitate pre-employment processes such as drug testing, background checks, and physical examinations to ensure compliance.
- Manage onboarding activities for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and training programs.
- Support union relations by addressing grievances and maintaining positive communication.
- Provide guidance to employees on company policies, procedures, and workplace processes.
- Address employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and terminations, while ensuring compliance.
- Maintain accurate employee records by managing data entry for new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and other updates.
- Administer payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages, benefits, and deductions in accordance with company policies.
- Handle payroll-related tasks such as processing garnishments, support orders, liens, and other deductions.
- Assist with the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures across multiple locations, including updates to employee handbooks.
An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or similar, in addition to 3+ years of both payroll and human resources experience. Experience using ADP WorkForce Now is also required. This role is fully onsite, working standard business hours. Beginning pay is $60,000-80,000, depending on qualifications. Requirements :
Proven experience in human resources, with a focus on generalist responsibilities.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive employee relations.Familiarity with payroll systems, including ADP, and experience managing multistate payroll processes.Knowledge of HRIS platforms and ability to maintain accurate employee data.Understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred but not required.
