Job Title : Import Manager – Customs Brokerage Operations

Location : Long Beach, CA (No Relocation Assistance Provided)

Employment Type : Full-Time, On-Site

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Import Manager to lead and grow the Customs Brokerage Operations at our Long Beach branch. The ideal candidate brings deep industry expertise, proven operational leadership, and the ability to build best practices while developing a strong, high-performing team. This role is critical in ensuring full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the delivery of all Customs Brokerage services for customers.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize Customs Brokerage policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance on U.S. Customs laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Map and review operational workflows to drive process efficiency and improvement.
  • Review and monitor U.S. Customs rejections, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other inquiries.
  • Resolve customs and import compliance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Customs Brokers and Entry Writers.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes, government requirements, and industry developments.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, government guidelines, and company standards.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Customs Broker License (Required)
  • 7+ years of Customs Brokerage Operations experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs laws, import regulations, and compliance processes
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling customs brokerage operations
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic operational plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Prior managerial or team leadership experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree strongly recommended
