The Corporate Communications department at Publix spearheads internal communications and press releases, publishes monthly newsletters and annual benefits notices, handles department-specific communications, and manages digital content for Publix's internally facing platforms. Within this team, the Corporate Communications Developer is the expert in associate communications by crafting strategies and delivering impactful messages that resonate across Publix. From personalized communications to large-scale campaigns, this role is essential in driving engagement and reinforcing Publix's culture. The Developer uses creativity and strategic insight to promote our company's vision, facilitate change and inspire associates to become brand advocates. The Corporate Communications Developer reports to the Corporate Communications Manager.
What you'll do
- develop strategic communication plans that support business initiatives
- develop communications directed to internal and external audiences, including communications that educate and inform associates of company strategy, initiatives and goals
- help other departments provide accurate and timely information
- serve as the subject matter expert in associate-directed communications and counsel internal clients on communication strategies in order to meet company and project or department objectives
- develop scripts and speeches for company leaders

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
Required Qualifications
bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, strategic communications or business communication, or equivalent experienceat least five years of experience in the fields of public relations, journalism, integrated marketing communication, or business communicationat least two years of experience in multimedia / electronic communicationat least two years of experience managing projectsknowledge of the supermarket retail industry and businessknowledge of publications' styles, formats, word-count allowances, etc.knowledge of Associated Press styleknowledge of campaign development to strategically plan a campaign to solve a business problemknowledge of benefits, insurance and financial terminology and communication lawsknowledge of printing process and terminologyknowledge of photographic design and elementsability to write in a clear and concise manner and the ability to edit and proofread communications accuratelyability to use and define metrics for communications programs / tacticsability to envision a final product structurally and graphically and communicate this to othersability to be creative, consistent and innovativeexcellent interpersonal and interviewing skills including ability to work with senior leadershipability to persuade, negotiate, and exercise professionalismability to handle sensitive and confidential informationability to see big picture of company operationsability to adapt to the use of new technology quicklyability to be detail-oriented and accurate when completing tasksability to work well under pressure and work on multiple projects at the same timecomputer skills in Microsoft (like Word, PowerPoint) as well as the internet and intranetwillingness to keep current on industry trends and know how to access this informationwillingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and overnights to meet business needswillingness to travel via plane or car to locations throughout the company and to additional areas for training or research purposes.Preferred Qualifications
