Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer II / Medical Data Specialist II for a Contract with a client in Valencia, CA(Hybrid). This role focuses on designing and managing scalable data infrastructure to support advanced analytics and real-time data delivery.

Rate Range : $47 / hour to $63 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer II / Medical Data Specialist II job responsibilities include :

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support medical data processing, integration, and analysis across healthcare platforms.

Implement and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing clinical and device data using standards like HL7, FHIR, and OMOP.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) and supports business needs.

Develop and maintain APIs and data services for seamless integration with EHR systems, medical devices, and cloud platforms.

Apply statistical and analytical techniques to validate data quality, support clinical insights, and improve system performance.

Document software and data workflows clearly, ensuring traceability, compliance, and maintainability across development cycles.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or software development, preferably in healthcare.

Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), with experience in building robust ETL pipelines and data APIs.

Familiarity with regulated healthcare data standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) and experience integrating with EHRs and medical devices.

Pay Details : $47.00 to $63.00 per hour
