Patient Care Technician / Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT / CNA)

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34 / hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position. This position offers a $2.25 / hour 3rd shift differential. This position offers a $1.75 / hour weekend differential.

Eligible for a $600 sign on bonus with a 1-year work commitment. Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Unit Overview

Welcome to Cardio Thoracic! We are a large 69 bed unit that is heart and lung focused. Our unit is fast paced and we have great teamwork and a large leadership team for support. On cardio thoracic we provide care to a wide variety of diagnosis that include but are not limited to chest pain, heart rate / rhythm issues, COPD, heart failure, and post cardiac and thoracic surgeries.

Position Summary

The Patient Care Technician / Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT / CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical / emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Required Qualifications :

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
