Director of Operations – Clinic
Location : Portland, ME, with occasional travel to Windham and Brunswick, ME
Reports to : SVP, Operations
Status : Full-time, Exempt
About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our ambulatory clinic practices, including satellite locations. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and strategic leader who is passionate about operational excellence and exceptional patient care.
As the Director of Operations, you’ll oversee workflow, staffing, and financial performance across multiple clinical areas—ensuring every patient receives efficient, effective, and compassionate care. You’ll work closely with executive and physician leadership to shape strategy, improve processes, and drive continuous quality improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
- Provide strong leadership and support to Clinic Managers, Patient Access, Radiology, and DME teams.
- Foster a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
- Partner with physicians and staff to enhance patient satisfaction and streamline operations.
- Oversee staffing models and scheduling to meet patient care needs and optimize resources.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and professional development of staff.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and performance improvement.
- Promote open communication, trust, and collaboration across teams.
- Champion initiatives that improve safety, efficiency, and overall patient experience.
