Continuous Improvement Manager | Grandville, MI

Salary Range : $88,000 - $134,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects and Kaizen events across manufacturing operations.
Identify, analyze, and prioritize process inefficiencies, waste, and bottlenecks.
Develop, implement, and sustain continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, VSM, SMED).
Train, coach, and mentor employees at all levels on CI principles and tools.
Monitor, track, and report on the progress and financial impact of improvement initiatives.
Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving throughout the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic goals.

Recommended Qualifications

Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in continuous improvement roles within a manufacturing environment.

Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) with a proven track record of leading and completing significant improvement projects.

Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, TPM).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and data-driven decision making.

Excellent communication, presentation, and change management skills to effectively train, mentor, and influence all levels of the organization.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

Master Black Belt certification.

Proficiency with advanced data analytics and simulation software (e.g., Python, R, Arena, AnyLogic).

Experience in financial modeling and cost accounting for CI project justification and ROI calculation.

Demonstrated experience in formal change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR).
