Continuous Improvement Manager | Grandville, MI

Salary Range : $88,000 - $134,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects and Kaizen events across manufacturing operations.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize process inefficiencies, waste, and bottlenecks.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, VSM, SMED).
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees at all levels on CI principles and tools.
  • Monitor, track, and report on the progress and financial impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic goals.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in continuous improvement roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) with a proven track record of leading and completing significant improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, TPM).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and change management skills to effectively train, mentor, and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Bonus Qualifications

  • Master Black Belt certification.
  • Proficiency with advanced data analytics and simulation software (e.g., Python, R, Arena, AnyLogic).
  • Experience in financial modeling and cost accounting for CI project justification and ROI calculation.
  • Demonstrated experience in formal change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR).
