Human Resources Manager-Longmont, CO
Fuze HR is excited to partner with a well-established manufacturing company in Longmont, CO, in the search for a Human Resources Manager. This direct hire role offers a competitive annual salary of $90,000–$120,000 based on experience.
About the Role
This position supports the Company by implementing human resources programs, administering Company policies and procedures, proactively recruiting either directly or through agencies, performs employment processing, ensures compliance with all applicable local, State and Federal laws and regulations, participates in administration of safety programs, solves performance problems, assists with health and welfare benefits, maintains all HR records in an organized and confidential manner, facilitates training, and ensures positive employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Takes an active role in understanding the business and employee issues company-wide to ensure fair and consistent administration of HR policies, practices and procedures. Recommend new or modifications to existing policies, practices and procedures to promote a fair and consistent environment.
- Partners with senior leadership on driving goals and execution on key development priorities to foster a team-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, collaboration, accountability, and customer service.
- Develops and presents human resource solutions to senior leadership by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action to senior leadership.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity in fulfilling all aspects of the HR function.
- Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, implementing selected solutions, and coaching and counseling managers and employees.
- Actively manage and further develop HR Activity including, but not limited to employee engagement beginning with onboarding, employee relations, performance management; learning and development; compensation and benefits administration; and compliance.
- In collaboration with senior leadership develops, improves and carries out on-boarding programs for new hires as well as maintaining all badge and facility access programs / systems.
- Conduct impartial investigations into employee situations including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination and violation of Company policies.
- Processes bi-weekly payroll for 150 employees using ADP Workforce Now platform. Reviews timecards, enters all changes to payroll system.
- Ensure employee records (both physical files and ADP profile) are maintained and up to date.
- Prepares reports for senior leadership and outside agencies by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Displays and employs a high degree of tact when expressing ideas or opinions.
- Complies with local, State and Federal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Benefit Administration to include annual renewal process, enrollment, and plan communications.
- Monitors performance evaluation program and recommends changes, as necessary.
- Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintains and recommends changes to the Employee Guide.
- Partners with senior leadership to strategize and execute hiring goals.
- Partners with department managers drive goals and execute key development priorities.
- Develop and execute performance reviews in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, or a related field required
- Minimum of seven (7) years of Human Resources experience as an HR Manager or Generalist in a 24/7 operational manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and HR best practices
- Proven conflict management and dispute resolution skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
- Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including Essential Time and Attendance
- Demonstrated experience in performance management and employee relations
- Experience designing and delivering personnel training and development programs
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all organizational levels
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Skilled in negotiation and problem-solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to present information effectively to groups of varying sizes
- Ability and willingness to respond to emergencies across all areas of the production process
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
- PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
- Prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
