Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Per-Diem Cardiothoracic Surgery NP / PA Opportunity

Excellent opportunity for a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our 4 skilled surgeons and six other allied health professionals in a well-established, hospital-employed practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Rounding on each patient upon arrival.

Addressing any issues with nurse throughout the night and if needed for major issues.

Performing any minor procedures at the bed side as needed with direction of surgeon, and reviewing any lab work and / or tests ordered during the day.

Rounding throughout the night on all patients as needed.

The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of experience.

ICU / CCU experience and the ability to read radiological tests such as chest x-rays and CT scans.

Ability to do chest tube insertion, central line and arterial line placement a plus.
