Role Overview

The Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for delivering outstanding patient-centered care while adhering to the specific requirements and standards of practice for the department. In collaboration with physicians and the care team, the nurse will provide comprehensive and compassionate care through established nursing models including Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage, serving as a patient advocate and exemplifying our organization’s mission and values.

• Regularly assess patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including timely reassessments after interventions.
• Conduct procedures and monitor patients as prescribed by the attending medical provider, accurately documenting care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, striving to exceed expectations and proactively resolving issues.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up procedures, simplifying complex medical terminology for clarity.
• Inform patients and caregivers about non-medical follow-up measures such as healthy lifestyle choices, promoting self-management and disease prevention.
