Position Summary The Communications Officer operates a computer-aided dispatch system, receives emergency 911 and non-emergency calls for assistance, and assists visitors to the Campus Police Station. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education and / or Experience Must be a high school graduate or GED. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have excellent communication and customer service skills to deal effectively with a wide variety of College personnel and / or outside individuals / organizations. Good computer skills are required. Ability to work and maintain a positive relationship with the Campus Police Department and other personnel. Higher-than-average multi-tasking skills are needed. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
