Cook for Assisted Living

  • Full-Time and Part-Time 2nd Shift

Prepare delicious, home-style meals for older adults in a faith-based environment.

DaySpring Assisted Living  seeks individuals who are passionate about cooking to join our dedicated food service team.  You will be contributing to our mission of "Serving Older Adults with God's Love" through excellent meals.  If you desire to serve others and thrive in a supportive Christian atmosphere, where we provide excellent food service, we want to hear from you!

  • Schedules Available :

    • 2nd Shift : 11 : 30 AM - 7 : 30 PM  (Full-Time and Part-Time)

    Pay : $16.00 – $18.50 per hour,

    Credit for experience, training, and certification

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare great meals : for up to 100 residents following established menus and guidelines.
  • Ensure food quality : Present meals that exceed the expectations of residents and meet all food safety regulations.
  • Food prep and kitchen maintenance : Assist with food preparation, clean-up, dishwashing, sanitizing kitchen equipment, cleaning kitchen, and storing supplies.
  • Work as a team : Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient operation.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience in large-batch cooking preferred (healthcare, catering, banquet service, schools, or restaurant environment).
  • Applicants should have a strong work history, reliability, and a heart for service.
  • Passionate about working in a Christian, faith-based environment, and dedicated to serving older adults with compassion and excellence.
