We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Senior Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to handle high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and oversee the financial activities of our company. As the Senior Controller, you will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. Responsibilities :
1. Oversee all activities of the accounting department and ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits.
2. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing / billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and Human Resources transactional activity.
3. Conduct and manage CAM reconciliations, straight line rent calculations, and tenant bill backs.
4. Handle all commercial and retail accounting aspects, including NNN leases.
5. Lead the budgeting and forecasting initiatives for the business.
6. Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary.
7. Ensure compliance with all federal and state tax regulations.
8. Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
9. Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Experience with MRI software is required.
4. Expertise in CAM reconciliations, CAM recs, NNN leases, commercial and retail accounting, tenant bill backs, and straight-line rent.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
11. High attention to detail and accuracy.
