Senior TrafficITS Engineer

AECOM is actively seeking a  Senior Traffic / ITS Engineer to join our experienced and technically strong transportation engineering team in Franklin TN. Engage across a broad spectrum of traffic engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) encompassing planning geometric and signal design and data-driven safety analysis to support the development of advanced mobility solutions. The leadership of this team brings a clear direction for the department and is deeply invested in the development of each team member. Engineers are supported through hands-on mentorship exposure to complex projects and a path for career growth within a collaborative and forward-moving environment. This position offers a hybrid work week option.

Primary Areas of Focus

• Plan and manage traffic engineering tasks as projects / assignments require
• Interact and coordinate regularly with clients and sub-consultants in the various assignments
• Lead project engineering tasks for traffic studies traffic design and traffic operations assignments
• Work with multiple engineering disciplines on larger projects that require traffic engineering services
• Assist leadership in working with / mentoring staff
• Coordinate with other disciplines
• Travel within Tennessee as required to serve the clients and projects - Periodic travel to clients in other states may also be required

Qualifications : Minimum :

BS Civil Engineer with 6 years of related experience and traffic simulation softwares or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education
