Location: Manassas, Virginia

CoWorx Staffing is hiring Material Handler positions in the Manassas, VA area!

The Material Handler position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in the seamless operation of our client’s warehouse. This position is vital to ensuring efficient warehouse operation and requires a candidate who excels in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks & trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped

2. Shipping and Receiving

• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments
• Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
• Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts or pallet jacks) in accordance with all safety procedures and protocol

3. Facility Maintenance

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
• Assist with the disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed

4. Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
• Comply with Data Center security measures and access controls

5.• Assist in the setup and installation of computer server racks according to provided instructions

• Help in the assembly of server racks by following diagrams and guidelines provided by senior team members.

Desired Background/Skills:

What you need to succeed At a minimum, you’ll need:

• To be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields preferred
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, as well as proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd or 3rd shift (must select preference)
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
