Immediately Hiring a Dedicated Solo Non CDL Driver in Easton, MD

We want the right employee to drive with us at Ryder. Ryder employees who drive on this account earn $934 - $1141 weekly and it gets better. Ryder drivers are paid weekly, hourly pay is $26.71 per hour, and $5.90 health and welfare. Hours per week are 35 - 40 hours per week. Paid training is provided, and the schedule is Monday - Saturday, start time is 4 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 AM.

Deliver solo to within 80 miles of domicile. Route is local home daily. Tractor type is straight truck. Trailer type is straight truck 18' - 24'. Equipment includes rolling racks and carts. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight includes touch US mail trucks that are 36 months or newer, include 24 / 7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

In addition to Ryder employment requirements, for employment on this account, the United States Postal Service (USPS) requires : a secondary background screen - federal level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and / or to provide contractual services, selective service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless there is a legal exemption.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age, minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience, pass a Ryder drug test, must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck) : 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years, pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years, pass a DOT physical, pass a Ryder road test, must have a valid driver's license, ability to follow written and / or oral instructions, ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures.

Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines, detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards, maintaining accurate records loading / unloading freight or assisting in the loading / unloading of freight if required by customer, other tasks as assigned.
